In order for draw times to stay on schedule, a buzzer will be in effect for most league games being played Monday – Thursday.

When the buzzer rings, teams will play the end they are on and one more. An end will be considered over when the final rock of an end has come to rest. For example, in an eight end game if the last rock of the sixth end has come to rest and the buzzer sounds the teams are then able to play the last two ends.

The buzzer times have been carefully decided, taking into account what time the following draw is scheduled to begin. After the ice is cleaned and pebbled, it is now being “nipped.” This does take extra time, so with the buzzer in effect draws should be able to start on time. If curlers do their part to start games on time and being ready to throw when it is their turn, the buzzer should not shorten games.

NOTE: There will be no buzzer for the last draws of the evening. Also, there will be no buzzer in effect for games played in the Friday Night Mixed league or the Hangover league on Sunday.
